What is a Notary Public?
| A notary public is a trustworthy, responsible and dignified
member of our society. Appointed by the office of the Secretary of State
(the State government) as third-party, impartial witness. As a third-party,
impartial witness, he or she is authorized to take acknowledgement, administer
oath and perform other notarial acts as authorized by state law.
